Hello Band Family!
Preparations are already underway for the upcoming 2020-2021 season. In these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic, much uncertainty still remains about what the coming season holds for our students. Mr. Schneider and the Band Boosters have decided to continue planning our events as we have done in previous years, and as further direction is received from the school board, adjustments or cancellations will be made accordingly and updates will be sent out to keep you informed. (It is much better to plan ahead than try to scramble at the last minute if restrictions are lifted). The priority will remain with ensuring the health of our students, while at the same time providing them with great opportunities for a wonderful band season.
We were not able to meet for our annual mandatory meeting in May, but we are pressing on with what we can take care of. The packet of paperwork that needs to be completed can be found here. When printing, be sure to print one-sided. Forms require signatures, so will either need mailed to the band's address (Polar Bear Band Boosters PO Box 1222 Fairmont, WV 26555-1222) or dropped off at the school this week. If you are unable to print the packet, Mr. Schneider is going to have packets printed and available for pickup at the FSHS band room June 1-June 5 from 9am-12.
