About Us

The Polar Bear Band has proudly represented Fairmont Senior High School and its traditions for many years. The band is considered the heart of Fairmont Senior and an embodiment of Polar Bear Pride. It and its contributors strive to create an environment for high school students to develop as students, as musicians, and as people. The principles of the Polar Bear Band are exhibited through a vast curriculum of marching band, concert band, jazz ensemble, and percussion ensemble. Under the current director, John Schneider, the band has received national attention and won many accolades.

Parents: Please sign up for your preferred shifts. At this time, you may sign up for as many shifts as you are able to work. Remember, your student earns money for each shift worked that can be used for any band expenses, including next year's band trip. Students who are 16 and older may also work shifts, but a parent (or other adult that is willing to be responsible for them) must work with them. This counts as two shifts work if you work with your student
