About Us

The Polar Bear Band has proudly represented Fairmont Senior High School and its traditions for many years. The band is considered the heart of Fairmont Senior and an embodiment of Polar Bear Pride. It and its contributors strive to create an environment for high school students to develop as students, as musicians, and as people. The principles of the Polar Bear Band are exhibited through a vast curriculum of marching band, concert band, jazz ensemble, and percussion ensemble. Under the current director, John Schneider, the band has received national attention and won many accolades.

All new and current band members need to print and fill out these forms. *Please note the original price of band camp has been lowered from $290 to $100 to reflect the change of venue this year.  Once completed they can be dropped off at the school, or mailed to P.O. Box 1222, Fairmont, WV 26555

-parents/guardians wanting to chaperone will need to complete this background check authorization form.
